Spectral Palace was initially built for my personal pedalboard as I wanted to add both the Spectral Fire and a Glass Palace without taking up too much real estate on the board. With a few modifications it ended up morphing into a pretty flexible drive pedal that can be easily adapted to function well in a few different applications and has really earned it’s place on my pedalboard.

The left hand side of the pedal is a modified Glass Palace circuit that has had the tone circuit snipped out to leave behind a stripped back, aggressive boost who’s voicing is selected via the ‘texture I’ toggle. In the upwards position the circuit utilises a clearer, crisper gain stage and in the downwards position a more unruly gain stage is introduced which can splatter and fold in on itself when pushed hard. You can balance the saturation and output level of this side of Spectral Palace with the ‘gain I’ and ‘volume I’ controls.

The right hand side of the pedal is the Spectral Fire side. This side is a low to mid gain overdrive that utilises a three band EQ to give the user significant flexibility over their sound. The ‘texture II’ toggle determines the overall voicing of this side of the pedal. In the upwards position the circuit provides a lower saturation akin to the original blues breaker overdrive circuit it was based on, In the downwards position an extra gain stage is added to the heart of the drive to add saturation and grit to the sound. The overall saturation and output level of this side of Spectral Palace are determined by the ‘gain II’ and ‘volume II' controls.

When used in conjunction with the Glass Palace boost circuit, a large array of sonic possibilities are unlocked.

The order toggle increases the flexibility of the pedal by either allowing the Glass Palace boost to be placed before the Spectral Fire circuit to overload it’s input for over the top noise rock clang or can be placed after the Spectral Fire circuit to push your amp harder, perfect for crushing doom metal.

9V 'BOSS style' DC adaptor only. No Batteries.
