SPECTRAL FIRE
Spectral Fire was born out of a desire to attain pushed, clangy drive tones with sharp articulation and touch sensitivity alongside the capability to slip over into less conventional, noise rock inspired saturation.
The pedal began life as a progression of the drive circuit in Tides and still uses the Marshall Bluesbreaker topology at it’s core but incorporates inspiration from transistor based fuzz circuits as well as the preamp circuitry of the fabled Traynor TS50B. The circuit also utilises a 3 band EQ section that can sculpt your sound to sit perfectly in a mix.
There are two distinct modes at the heart of the circuit set via the toggle switch.
CONTROLS:
MASTER:
Controls the overall output volume of the pedal.
GAIN:
Determines the input gain of the circuit.
HIGH, MID, LOW:
A Passive three band EQ.
VOICING TOGGLE:
In the upwards position the pedal behaves like a bright and clear preamp with abundant output volume to push your amplifier into saturation.
With the toggle in the downwards position an additional gainstage is activated at the core of the circuit, resulting in added gain and compression as well as a more unruly feel to the gain structure which becomes overwhelmingly apparent with the gain control set high.
9V 'BOSS style' DC adaptor only. No Batteries.
