Caustic Touch is a touch-plate controlled chaotic noise generator and fuzz pedal.

The device can either generate chaos independently or can be used to process external signals.

Caustic Touch works by mixing stable and unstable oscillators to generate unpredictable oscillations.

The touch plate disrupts the oscillators, causing them to writhe and squeal as they collide against one another. It works by bridging connections using your skin.

The starve control lets you reduce the power that reaches the oscillators. This alters the texture and tonality of the noise.

The input knob controls the frequency of the oscillator tied to your input signal.
This essentially determines the prominence of the input signal within the mix.

The tune knob controls the overall pitch of the oscillators.

The kill button momentarily shuts off the output signal so you can rhythmically slice into the noise.

The shift button momentarily changes the range of available frequencies.

The source toggle disables the power to the oscillators and instead powers them via your input signal. This disables the starve knob.

Due to the chaotic nature of the device these controls don’t always behave the way you would expect so be sure to take the time to experiment.
